J. Howard Construction was established in Fernandina Beach, Florida, by Justin Howard, driven by a passion for the work and a desire to serve his local community. While earning a Business Degree at Methodist College, Justin spent his summers working in construction. He quickly fell in love with the industry – being outdoors, completing an honest day’s work – and knew he wanted to make it his career.
After starting out as a grunt and shoveling dirt, Justin worked his way up the ranks to become a skilled heavy equipment operator. Over two decades, he gained extensive experience in all aspects of site development, from excavation and grading to demolition and underground utilities.
Once Justin learned the business side – how to accurately bid on jobs, project management – he decided to open his own business, and J. Howard Construction was born in 2016.
